Chocolate Banana “Sushi” Bites
A great pre-workout treat or sweet treat replacement | Yields 6 bites | Macros per 1 bite.
Ingredients
- 120g medjool dates (pitted)
- 1 small banana (~100g)
- 30g crushed almonds or peanuts
- 25g HU Kitchen dark chocolate chips
- 5g coconut oil (optional, for melting chocolate)
- Pinch of sea salt

Add protein
Add a layer between banana and dates of greek yogurt + protein powder
Instructions
- Flatten dates: Place dates on parchment paper and press/roll into a flat layer (like a sticky “wrap”).
- Add crunch: Sprinkle crushed nuts evenly over the flattened dates and press in.
- Add banana: Place whole banana at one edge and roll tightly into a log.
- Chill: Put in freezer for 10–15 minutes to firm up.
- Slice: Cut into 6 even “sushi-style” pieces.
- Chocolate top: Melt chocolate (with a little coconut oil if needed) and spoon over each piece.
- Finish: Sprinkle sea salt + extra crushed nuts if desired.
